WHAT AUDIO INTERFACES DO WE USE AT SONGBIRD SOCIETY?

MERGING TECHNOLOGIES HAPI

LOCATION: THE AVIARY

This interface has been at the heart of my mastering setup for many years. With its modular design, it provides fantastic flexibility, being able to easily accommodate both low channel count mastering duties, and high channel count location recordings (up to 32 channels in one rack unit!). It can also handle virtually any sample rate, from standard 44.1kHz all the way up to 384kHz DXD, allowing us to master anything that comes through the door at its original fidelity.

APOLLO TWIN (SECOND GENERATION)

LOCATION: VERSATILE

This interface has proved invaluable for small production sessions both on location and in house. It’s a great little interface with a surprising amount of flexibility when you make use of its handy 8 channel ADAT input. We use it all the time for vocal and guitar recording, or when we just need to track an idea quickly in whatever place we may be.
